SiteManager
Once you have activated a website, you can add content to your site like texts and pictures, with the help of a clear and easy-to-use SiteManager. By clicking the "site management" link on any page of your site, you can log-in to your personal Site Manager. Fill in your username and password to access the managementpages.

After logging-in, you will enter the “welcome”-page. (Any unpaid invoices are also displayed at this page.) In the left column all pages are grouped in three parts: general data of the Babysite / the different pages of your Babysite / personal data.

We will guide you through some some of the SiteManager-pages below, but most pages are fully self-explanatory.
domainname
One of the most important parts of your Babysite is to register your domain name. You can choose a name in the Babywebbies domain, e.g. www.emily.babywebbies.com. The Babywebbies domains have several internet extensions to choose from, for example .com . info .nl or .be. We recommend you register your domain name as soon as possible before someone else might register the same name that you have in mind. Mentioning the web address on the birth announcement card might be a very nice idea. But make sure you have registered the web address mentioned on the card in time!

In case you own a personal domainname, you can link your personal domain name to your Babysite (e.g. www.emily.com). In that case, you might need to contact your provider to link your personal domainname to the IP-address mentioned in the SiteManager.
Page activation
On the example-sites of you can see all possible features of a Babysite. If you wish, you can switch on or off the different parts and features of your Babysite on the active pages page.
Adding pictures: the PhotoManager
In different parts of the Babysite but particularly in the photos page you can add pictures. Click the add / delete button in a picture-field to open the PhotoManager. In the PhotoManager you can add, modify or delete pictures and you can place an accompanying text with your picture.
You can add all picturesizes and filesizes to the Babysite, the PhotoManager will resize pictures that are too large to the right size.
To change a picture you can select a new file in the browse-field. You can modify your text in the textfield.
Guestbook / congratulations
You can manage all messages that your visitors leave at your Babysite. By switching off a message, it won't be displayed at the Babysite anymore, but it will remain in the database so you can switch it back on at any time. Switched-off messages are marked with a red beam in your SiteManager. You can also delete a message permanently.
You can set the name of this page on the Babysite to guestbook or congratulations, whichever you prefer.
accessibility
In the SiteManager you can set the accessibility to your Babysite for visitors. You can choose to display a link to your Babysite at the mainsite. This option is default switched off. You can also protect access to your Babysite with a password, in which case your visitors first have to answer a question before they can continue to your Babysite. You can formulate a question to which the answer is only known by family, friends and colleagues, like e.g. 'What is the first name of the mother?'
You might for instance use the Tell a friend page to pass anyone the password in case the answer might be less known to other people you know.
